Many thanks to all who joined us - It was an amazing evening!
The featured goods—Detroit Denim, Lazlo, Detroit Bikes, Detroit Audio Lab, Sfumato Fragrance, GoldeLuxe Jewelry, Smith Shop, and Lead Head Glass—were on display and are currently available for purchase here on our website, Detroit BUILT & Co.
We served soup, thanks to our good friend Christina Liedtke, in order to give us all something warm to chat over.
Salted maple, pecan and cranberry crumble pies were flown to us through a blizzard from Detroit’s Sister Pie.
Liquid good cheer also arrived in the form of Detroit Vodka, along with a wintery punch, bubbly and beer.
Amy Kaherl, founder of DetroitSOUP, spoke to us about why she's motivated to work on community building in Detroit. Eric Yelsma, founder of Detroit Denim shared how his obsessive denim hobby became a thriving small business in Detroit. We learned more about Detroit-based business initiatives The Empowerment Project, Ponyrides, and Anthology Coffee. The conversation continued for hours and we all went home with full bellies, heads full of ideas and hearts full of inspiration.
We'll be bringing new Detroit-based makers and product launches to you every month!
