Another event bringing together Detroiters and those who "Detroit Curious" and are interested in all the amazing things happening in Detroit.

This will be the Debut Launch and Book Signing of DETROIT the Dream is Now, by photographer Michel Arnaud.

We will also have Sarah Cox, co-founder of Write A House, visiting from Detroit to explain about her project.

Both Michel and Sarah were inspired by the energy and creativity of Detroit and created projects that really get to the heart of the creative and community spirit of Detroit.

In Michel's book, we were genuinely impressed not just with the beauty of the photos, but with the diversity and depth of people and places that he found to include. He has included the people, homes, work spaces and works of the most well-known & iconic to the hardly known & bizarre. He covers the arts, fashion, retail, food, restaurants, and urban movements, such as urban farming, Maker's Movement, and community builders, such as Sarah Cox of Write A House.

The project, Write A House has reimagined the Writer's Residency. They fix up homes and in the process give contracting and building training to those doing the renovations. Then they have a writer's contest, and the winner is awarded the renovated home for a long-term residency!

If you are unable to attend the event, and would like to purchase the book by itself ($40), you can do so here or above.

You can also read more about Write a House here.

Voila, the Detroit Experience!
